So instead of going to my scheduled angiogram, I was in the hospital.....for two days and one night! Doesn't sound bad but I hate being there when I feel totally fine. My creatinine was creeping up still so I was admitted to the hospital and had a biopsy done. Seems like everything was fine with my kidney, no signs of rejection. They said my creatinine was probably creeping up because I was dehydrated. So my instructions were to drink, drink, drink! Seems easy right? Well, remember I was on hemo… Continue

I think I became a hypochondriac when I got my transplant. I'm always worried when or if I feel new symptoms. Why am I so tired? I got a lot of sleep last night. Am I producing enough urine? Why is my face swollen? Etc. I'm aware that some of my meds may cause these side affects so I shouldn't worry right? Even if my labs come back fine. No, I still do! I'm two and half months post transplant and this past week or so my BP and creatinine have been creeping up on me. I had to get an ultrasound o… Continue

Well Nancy and I have been in Switzerland visiting family for awhile~~we will be back to Okieland sept 12th. I lost my pancreas about 6 weeks ago 'bummer yes!' and now Nancy's kidney 'in me' is failing too:(...but the good news is~~I will be on the kidney/pancreas transplant list soon...when we get back to the states...We will fly to SF for a kid/pan evaluation~and be put on the list....so that's whats been happeninfng on my end...I hope your Dad is doing ok, how is he? And yes you have been busy huh?...sodium bi-carb might help with the dehydration (ask you drs. about that ok) and gatorade deluted is good to replace electrolites that are messed up due to dehydration....banannas, potaoes, tomatoes
well hugs from Switzerland, and I will talk to you soon, thanks for staying in touch...Tracy
How are things going? Tracy
Yes thet Prograf sometimes takes awhile for the body to get used to. I hope UC Davis likes lower Prograf levels?
UCSF (UC San Fran) and Barnes (St. Louis) they like them around 3 ish...but every case is differn't. Yes those nasty headaches are a bummer....Well the Tornadoes and this Thunderish weather in Oklahoma is wild! to say the least:) We are ok~~~nancy and I have had to climb into the bathtub (Our Tornadoe shelter) with Helmets on~weather radio in hand and wait a few storms out...yes amazing weather but thank God we are ok. Well I hear California is on fire...Paradise where we came from has gotten hit bad:( Wow Calif. is really dry and fires can start really quick! Well it good to hear from you Dinah and I am praying for you that your Kidney is safe and well in you k....hugs my friend, Tracy
ps thanks for staying in touch...God bless you.....
Er....more like upset stomach (to put it mildly--use your imagination). So you're a newbie in the tx community huh? COOL!!!
I don't know anything about creation (sp??) levels and whatnot but do NOT let your fear take over the success of your transplant. Remember, fear is the acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real! Oh, and I only had one transplant. Yep, I got all 3 organs at once. Go figure! haha!
Hugs! Kim :-)
Thanks though the my anniversary weekend was crappy (literally--yep, I was sick). BOO! Anyhoo, how far out are you with your kidney? Hugs! Kim :-)
Hey thanks for getting back with me. Oh your headaches are a bummer! I am thinking mabye your Prograf level is to high? I know UCSF likes them around 3.0 on the lower side (after 1 year after transplant)~~but you are only 2 months out huh? Well I am praying that you will get rid of those nasty headaches ok. As far as the TORNADOS go lol they havn't got us yet...on the serious side they have killed people and they (Tornados) arn't to be taken lightly. The weather has been crazy out here~~but it seems this area (Grand Lake o'r the Cherokees) where we live dodges the Tornados for some reason....the lake is 60 miles long~~and the really bad 'severe' weather goes North or South of us...We are doing good here and I hope & pray you get better to with those headaches ok...God bless you, Tracy
ps stay in touch........
I am glad to hear your Kidney #'s are looking good :)
Those headaches~~that's a bummer! Your b.p is normal that's good~~how about your PULSE rate? I know when my pulse is racing (over 90+) and it dosn't come down on its own~~I will get a headache...ok just a thought...I will be praying your CT scan is good ok....
I am doing good (Nancy too) We have been just dodging a few Tornados out here in North Eastern Oklahoma which is new for us (we moved to Oklahoma Oct 2006) from Northern Calif. (Chico-Paradise) but all is well and thank you for asking.....talk to you later have a great day ok...Tracy
ooo just seen the message below..hope you are alright? best wishes from England girl x
