Hi Barbara,

I saw barbara Bucklew this weekend and she mentioned that you were doing well. i volunteered with her Saturday at an event and we both went to a picnic at LifeChoice on Sunday. it was goood to spend some time with other recipients, donor family like Barbara, and some of the Docs and nurses from HH. I am sure we will run into each other before long. I hope you are recovering well and out and about soon.

All the best,
Dave

Dave,
You are correct, we both know Barbara Buckalew. She and her daughter belong to my church, St. Maurice in Bolton. She is a great person and I've really gotten to know her in the past year of so. She has been a great help to me and has provided me with a lot of good information. You're also right about Hartford Hospital, especailly the Transplant Center. The nurses and doctors are wonderful and I know I'd wouldn't be as healthy today if it weren't for them. Take care my new friend, I am looking forward to meeting you in person.

Hi Dave!
My Heart came from a Native of Vernon,CT.
My Donor's Parents honored me by attending their first Games in Pit.
We all had a great time.
My first two Gold Medals and American Records I had them present one each to my Donor's Parents.
A very small Token fo "The Gift of Life."
They live on Cape Cod and I hope to visit them one day soon. Sunday off to Canada for their Games.
Look forward to meet

Dave,
It was nice hearing from you and knowing you represented CT at the games. I have a friend who is a donor family as she donated her sons organs and became active as a volunteer. She told me the games where great. Perhaps I will be able to attend the next ones. My new Kidney is doing very well, thank God and my angel donor, my new sister Cindi Quaglini. It is a long road to hoe, but I'm sure you know that too. Thanks again for writing, we all belong to a very exclusive club. Hartford Hospital 11th Floor was very good to me, expecially Mona in Recovery and Lindsey the charge nurse on the floor. They are special, but my doctor's Matt Brown and Dave Hull were the greatest. Take care.
