I am still going through my evaluation for a single lung transplant. I am hoping to be listed in August.
What do you do for a living?
I am currently on disability but I do volunteer at a radio station(Kexp.org) in Seattle once a week.
How did you find out about TransplantCafe.com?
I heard about it on another website--transplant buddies.

wow is it still in the 90's over there?? I love starbucks here in the uk..and like my frappucino's or a latte..bit of a starbuckaholics!! I have watched some of the Olympics...and like the gymanstics and all that type of staff - aswell as athletics..makes great tv watching. Have u been up to anything else nice this last week or so??

I don't know if you are aware, many doctors aren't, but you may want to ask about the viability of a living donor lobar transplant. This eliminates the need for a waiting list, and allows you to have a transplant from a related donor, which has been said to reduce the chance of rejection. If you'd like more information feel free to contact me.

Hey again...do u mind I ask what illness you have, and are u on 24 hour oxygen? I used to need 24hour oxygen...and felt like a dog on a lead...or with my concentrator at home..like a massive piece of spaghetti around the house!! lol..Hope u had a nice weekend x

Hi there..welcome to this site. I am from the UK and suffered from an extremely rare lung disease that took 10 yrs to diagnose. I went through terrible times,but always remained positive..and my life was saved July 9th 2006 with a double-lung transplant. Life now - is great!! I hope you get your lung soon too!!
