About Me: Please use this space to tell the community about yourself and your unique experience with transplantation:
I am 34 years old and am so grateful to have received the gift of life not once, but twice! I had my first double lung transplant in April of 2000 and did well for two years until I got chronic rejection. I was then one of the lucky ones who got to have a second double lung transplant in March of 2004.

I love my life! I am living my dreams as an author and public speaker. I have a wonderful family and a perfect husband. I have great friends and two crazy dogs. Life is good and I'm loving every minute of it!!

Its perfectly ok. I'm glad you're able to have such a busy wonderful life! :) I really admire everything you've done! I wanna be like you when i "grow up" lol

Yes i met Becky. I agree, she is wonderful!!! Ken wasn't there that day so she filled in for him. He's my coordinator. :-( not that that's' bad but I really wish that she could be mine. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with her. She seems so down to earth and she made me feel so comfortable. She started to tell me about you, b/c of your book, and I told her, "YES! I know who you 're talking about! I messaged her on Transplant Cafe." :) So she is going to send me a copy of your book. I can't wait to read it.

I got the papers in the mail today from Ken, for me to sign. That authorizes them to add me to the list :) He said that ones the insurance approves it, then I'll be added :)

Jerky me- forgot to bring it to clinic. I am mailing P's book today and going head to head with social security! At least I fund all the evidence the checks had stopped.

Hi Tiffany. :) My name is Meghann. I sent you an add request. I noticed that you had 2 double lung transplants. I'm going to find out later this month if I'm to be reactivated on the list for a double lung transplant, or not. My hospital is also UNC Hospitals. I have my heart cath. test done on Wed. (the last eval. test for me) and meet with the team. Anyway, I'd love to chat if you ever have time. Especially since we're both in NC and I'll be up in Chapel Hill so often. (Probably) Take care!

Hi tiffany. Thank you for the message. I wish I could take credit for all the great technology, etc. for TC. Fortunately being in internet marketing puts me in front of all these great tools and solutions that are readily available to use.

The cool thing is that it was an idea that I'm glad I was able to bring forth for the community to benefit from. Enjoy it!

Oh I meant not coming to USA for another pair of lungs - as I hope the ones I already have - stay well and give me many many years. But, I would love to come to USA for holidays instead. Talking of which, I should be coming November time to go to New York...and I can't wait!! xx

Hi there..have read u got another double lung transplant..wow!! How long did u wait both times? What was it like 2nd time round?? Sorry so many questions - just really interested. Here in the UK...they are a bit funny about re-transplanting - as there is such a shortage of people being organ donors - so tend to only do once...some cases people do get a 2nd chance. I have been told already that I have problem with my anti-bodies and may go into chronic rejection earlier than most....and 2nd transplantation not possible..or maybe not willing to take risk on me,. But, I have defied all odds by surviving a horredous journey with my illness..and I think I would be fine if I needed anthr new pair of lungs!! I would even consider coming to USA if ever that happened (which I hope it doesnt). OHHhhhh..Ive talked sooo much..sorry. Keep smiling and speak soon. Hugs from UK xx
