- Since my heart transplant I have taken up the sport of triathlon. I completed the Malibu Triathlon 11 months after transplant (Sept. 17, 2007) and the Lavaman Triathlon on April 6, 2008. I'm now looking ahead to a half-Ironman in September 2008, with an eye on the Kona Ironman in 2009 - to be held that year on my transplant anniversary of October 10.
