Hi Tracy.

Oh wow. I'm sorry to hear about your kidney and pancreas. I'll definitely keep you in my prayers. Why is it that you have to go back to S.F. to be on the transplant list. I know you got your transplant there but they don't do transplants near you?
Switzerland? How exciting? I hope you and Nancy are having fun. Do you have to be precautious while you're there because of your kidney and pancreas?

As for the soduim bicarb. I have been taking 3 tabs (1950mg) twice a day for about a month now and it hasn't been helping with my blood pressure so now the doctor is giving me another pill (I don't know the name of it because I haven't gotten it yet) but it's suppose to help me hang on to soduim better. Other then that, things are pretty good.

Take care Tracy and I hope you put up some pictures when you get back from your trip.

Hello Tracy,
I, or course, have been enjoying life--which includes smiling/laughing whenever I can. I mostly work and play in between (and sometimes during) working. I've only been out of college since December, so I'm enjoying life in the 'real world.' What do you do in OK? (I have a very close friend that is also a double lung recipient that lives in OK).
Have a great week :)

Hey Tracy! Wow..what a cool place to visit! However..It is just plain unacceptable to have your pancreas and kidney misbehave! Ok...well, yeah..I know we can't control those parts, but don't you wish a good ol' talkin to from the teacher would do the trick?? LOL Anyway..praying for quick action on your new organs! Trust me, I'm doing every thing I can on a daily basis to educate the public on what needs to be done as far as that waiting list is concerned. Keep me posted!
Cheers for now!

Have a fabulous day. I am off to my little fishies in school to be followed by a long cool dip in the pool!

Tracy, so nice to meet you also! Are you from St. Louis? I understand that Barnes is much nicer than SLU but my transplant team is great. I'm from the Cape Girardeau area though my family is in St. Louis. Hope to hear from you again!

Hi Tracy.
I'm doing well, but busy. My Dad had a stroke a couple weeks ago and he needs a lot of help. He's slowly getting better but still needs a lot of help. I'm also baby sitting my 17 month old nephew, he keeps me really busy. Health wise, I'm great. This kidney is working so well I think to well. I can't seem to hold soduim in my body then my bp drops, so now I have to take medicine for raise my bp.

How are you doing? How's the weather been over there since I talked to you last? Missing California weather yet? =)

Wow, you have quite a transplant story! I am so touched reading how you're doing so well and how you got your transplant.
We are also in California. I'm raising 3 daughters, two with heart transplants. I'm curious- why did you move from California?
I will have to move soon, could use some helpful advice. See my blog.
Blessings, Susan
