I was told when transplanted (after the actual operation) that I may need O2 for the rest of my life. I am guessing it is because they had to leave the right lung, and the new left lung was sliced.. bruised.. however you put it. While most of this has been no fairy tale I am still thankful for this opportunity. I have always been a bit different since being a child with asthma. Couldn't do this and couldn't do that. Now it is the same or worse.
I take 1 mg M,W,F of Rapamune and my level stays at 13 which is right where my dr wants me. I just agree and keep on taking it.
I do not like it when they add meds but when they take away it is wonderful.
I do hope the price of these life saving drugs becomes more affordable. It's odd that the insurance companies will pay for transplant but do not want to pay for the meds ? Hmmmm....
We will talk again soon and I am always available to any and all my brothers and sisters in transplant for any comfort, advice, or just chat. Just let me know. xoxo ♥ ♥ ♥
I was pleasantly surprised to see you here.
Wow! the Double lung transplants just blow my mind...that is just awesome!!!
