- About Me: Please use this space to tell the community about yourself and your unique experience with transplantation:
- I first became ill in 2004. I was put on the transplant list in July 2006. My brother Jim volunteered to be a living donor and I had my first liver transplant on April 18, 2007. Unfortunately that liver did not regenerate and I was relisted and about three weeks later on May 14th. I received a liver from a deceased donor. Even though my brother Jim's liver did not work out, I have never been witness to a more unselfish act of kindness.
