dogg dayz

July 21 Dogg dayz! Hey ya'll, howzit? I am living every day in eager anticipation of the next. I am thankful every time I wake up simply for the fact that I DID wake up. I am alive. I refuse to be sick. (although, my body seldom seems to agree with me) Here are the facts. I am sick, physically. It is hard, to put one foot in front of the other. It is hard, to feel like crap all of the time. It is hard, to not know IF I will ever get a heart. It is hard, to know that I am dragging you and my fami… Continue

Just sayin' hi.

July 05 just sayin' hi. Hi. Fair warning, this is not gonna be good, or long. Just the facts. I had VT again last night (Friday, the 4th). I was getting into bed @ 2345, and the heart just "took off". I sat down, and switched ,from battery power on my LVAD, to "house" power, for the night. I no sooner lay my head on the pillow, then here it came, kind of like that freight train in the Coors Light commercial. Out of nowhere. I headed to the ER, for the "usual", and got there around 0020 and was… Continue

OOOOOOPS!

Heart is hanging in there. I dropped my LVAD bag on my toe last night. I think I broke it. Hey, look at it this way, I haven't talked about VT all week. Oh yeah, @ 1045hrs this morning, I went into VT. have a nice day...

ON AND ON...

Hey all, quick update on me... I am still alive! I went into VT last night, and headed for the ER here in Des Moines. About 3 minutes away from the hospital, my heart "self converted". Nothing left to do but turn the car around, and head back home. I remain on the 1a status, and I continue to pray. Spirits are soaring, as God has done small miracles frequently in my life. I am still waiting on the tx, and waking up every day, so i refuse to complain. I post my blog often in alot more detail if a… Continue

Bad nights come and go...

We all have bad nights. It is a fact of life. Last night, I gotta tell you, really SUCKED! I was thinking I was on my way home to meet my precious savior. I was run through the ringer, and back. I had accelerated heartrates, chest pain, light headedness, insomnia, and an excruciatingly painful shoulder. I managed to sleep about an hour. I am not afraid to face death. I have crossed that line several times, and I cannot adequately describe the peace and beauty I experienced. The problem is, my fa… Continue

Mark, Hope you've had a nice weekend. Sure went fast. I've been asking around and haven't spoken to anyone in the area that had their heart transplant in Iowa City. I had a good experience with the transplant program in Iowa City when I had my liver transplant. I've heard, they have a new transplant director and a new surgeon but have not met them yet. I got every other year for my check ups now. Won't go back until next summer. I do go to my local hospital every other month for lab work so they check to see that everything is working properly. There is a man here in Muscatine that had a heart transplant but I've not yet met him. I'll see if I can track him down. I'll let you know what I can find out. Take care.

Mark,
Man, honestly that is a little more technical than I am able to handle. A couple of things you can try are:

1. Click here to go to the support forum and post your issue there for other members to help you.
2. Go to a member's page where they've uploaded and see if they have any idea.

I really have little experience uploading songs and converting to MP3, etc.. Wish I could be of more help with this. Try my suggestions above and I'll also ask the site host to see if they know how to address it.

But really, it sounds like a technical / file conversion issue that you may get help with from other online forums about this stuff.

Hope that helps. Let me know.

Hi Mark,
If your page works like mine.. you have a black music box in the left column of your page under "my music." Below the black box is a link that reads "add music," click it and all should be pretty easy from there.

Let me know that it worked for you.

Glad you're OK. I see what you mean by "paint it" now.. funny. Just remember that if you do write on your own wall, others won't be prompted of it as a reply to what they wrote you. For that, you have to hit "comment back" to go to their page and reply.

Take care,
